Replacing a missing tooth in a timely fashion is critical because anytime a tooth is lost, the teeth on either side of the space and above or below the space begin to tip and change position thus creating a problem with the way that all your teeth fit together and function. This will result in further damage to your jaw joints, your facial muscles and the rest of your teeth causing the loss of even more teeth in the future.

If many or all your teeth are missing and not replaced we have found that you will not be able to properly chew your food. It is important that your food is broken down into very small pieces before you swallow it or else your stomach acids will not be able to further break it down and you will not be able to absorb the nutrients from your food in your body. The teeth play a critical role in the digestive process and in your overall health.

One or more missing teeth can be replaced with either individual dental implants, an implant supported bridge or a conventional cemented dental bridge. If you are missing quite a number of teeth, they may be able to be replaced by numerous individual implants and implant supported bridges or removable partial dentures. And if you are missing all your teeth, they can be replaced by a full mouth implanted supported bridge, numerous different types of implant supported dentures or a conventional denture.
