Conventional partial dentures are a less extensive way to replace a group of missing teeth that occur on both the right and left side of your mouth especially when it involves your very back teeth. Partial dentures are removable and are held in place by wires called clasps that hook around several of your remaining teeth or attachments that are built into your teeth. They tend to be much bigger in size than naturally shaped dental bridges or dental implants. Because of this they tend to be less comfortable and do not look as natural. They also collect more food around and underneath them so they need to be removed after meals and meticulously cleaned. Given these drawbacks, many people find they help them improve their function and chewing ability and find them to be very satisfactory replacements for their missing teeth.
